Between 1541 and 1545, La Vigilante crosses the Andaman Sea, reaches the Ryūkyū archipelago and finally lands in Sengoku-era Japan. Portuguese firearms have just arrived on Tanegashima; European cartographers race for exclusive access; the Satsuma mountains hide alliances that will shape the following century. Malo pursues a network whose ramifications now reach further than any single sea. Publication planned for 2027.
